MEMORIAL NIGHT - Schedule of Readings, Performances and Talk-Backs

MEMORIAL NIGHT by Jonathon Ward

New Play about Farming and Fracking
Set in Delaware County, Memorial Day, 2008
Directed by Ron Nash
Produced by Ernest Schenk and the Little Victory Players
With a cast including: Leighton Bryan, Bryce Gill, Jonathan Martin, Katt Judd, Ernest Schenk, and Patti Van Tassel.
The play is a provocative exploration of the land-use issues raised by the politics of fracking through the story of a 10th generation dairy farmer and his family in Delaware County. The family is trying to make ends meet after their only son is killed in the Iraqi war and the play delves into the complexity of people's desire to live from the bounty of our American land in the spirit of its heritage.
The play was commissioned by NYSCA through the Roxbury Arts Group and is produced with funds from the NYSCA Decentralization Grant to the Little Victory Players through the Roxbury Arts Group and a grant from The O’Connor Foundation.

T
he play will be presented in a series of readings, performances and after-show discussions, to involve audiences in the process of development of a realistic play based on an important current issue. For additional information: http://macellushale.blogspot.com/
